iSTART Innovation Clubs are hubs of innovation built on a foundation of expectancy by creating a culture for innovative ideas to find and develop expression.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

Train in capacity building techniques that use cutting-edge technology

Promote innovative expression while discovering avenues for developing inventive concepts

Move from discovery of an idea through successful delivery of products, services or societal infrastructure that add value in solving a clearly defined social or commercial problem

ARDUINO TRAINING

iSTART Innovation Club Sessions:
iSTART Innovation Club Entry and Intermediate Levels run for 8 weeks – Advanced Level is 6 weeks
Registration is due 2 weeks prior to commencement of a session
​
Club Requirements:
Completed registration in an official ISTART Innovation Club
Arduino Kit of materials
Use of a Computer
​
Mode of Training:
Face-to-Face
3 hours per week
​
What Next After Advanced Session?
Certified iSTART Developer A1
Qualified to register for iSTART Specialized Developer Training

COURSE SCHEDULE:

Level 1: iSTART with Basics – 8 weeks
​
Circuits – Ohms, Current, Voltage
Hardware – LEDs, Resisters, Capacitors, Wiring, Sensors, and Motors
Software – Program basics
Putting it all together – Practical exercises with projects

Level 2: iSTART with Foundations for Inventing – 8 weeks
​
Hardware - Sensors (over 20 different sensors)
Motors, WiFi and Bluetooth communications
Software – Intermediate Level of Coding
Intermediate exercises with projects

Level 3: iSTART with Advanced Prototyping Product Development – 6 weeks
​
Design and prototype
Arduino Nano & Micro
Soldering
Software – Advanced Coding with targeted training for individual projects
Projects geared toward product development
